“Thank you very much for Your cooperation and help and time!! Country code +52 is now officially delegated to CUDI, Mexico!”, said the email signed by Mészáros Mihály, from NIIFI (Hungary), member of the Work Package 4 of the MAGIC Project. A great email in fact, a great news: following Ecuador and El Salvador, Mexico is the third Latin American country that within MAGIC has got into NRENum.net.
Within the framework of the tasks developed by its Work Package 4 -which is in charge of the establishment for agreements for real time collaboration- the MAGIC Project has launch an on-line course on NRENum.net and DNS Configuration. With its contents fully developed both in English and Spanish, the course is opened to all those who are interested in NRENum, and mainly targeted to those NRENs that want to offer their member institutions the possibility of registering their equipments of videoconference and of voice over Ip in this global directory.
At a ceremony in New York, the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, took receipt of a proposal calling for the establishment? of a Technology Bank for the world’s Least Developed Countries (LDCs) - “Feasibility Study for a United Nations Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries”.
Seeking for the establishment of agreements for real time collaboration, MAGIC’s Work Package 4 achieved a new milestone with the incorporation of the Salvadorian NREN, RAICES to NRENum.net. The country code +503 is now officially delegated to RAICES.
The workshop will be carried out from October 7 to 9, 2015, in the Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission, under the auspicies of the Jamaica Research and Education Network,
