In July 24, 2015, the ENUM Service for Academia website - NRENum.net - recieved a new member with the following post in its home: “Welcome Ecuador (+593) to NRENum.net! RedCEDIA, the national research and ecucation network of Ecuador, looks after the 37th country code that has been delegated to NRENum.net.” This achievement of CEDIA is also an achievement of the Work Package 4 of the MAGIC Project, that seeks the establishment og agreements for real time collaboration.
The brazilians had the opportunity to meet more closely the characteristics, scope and magnitude of the MAGIC project, which aims to foster the collaboration between academics and researchers from different continents. The initiative led by RedCLARA was presented in a stand at the “RNP2015 Forum”, the annual conference of the brazilian National Research and Education Network (RNP), held between August 25 and 27, in Brasilia. MAGIC attracted the attention of dozens of people who were in the conference.
InnovaRed, the NREN of Argentina, signed a Memorandum of Uderstanding (MoU) with MAGIC in order to collaborate in the promotion of user communities (in the project’s Work Package 5 - WP5) and in dissemination activities (WP6).
Organized by the European Commission together with the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (Foundation for Science and Technology) ICT2015 will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) from October 20 to 22nd, and the three H2020 projects will join forces to demonstrate their collaborative power.
