Under the title "Optimising the Impact of NRENs on Africa's Research", and from 30 October 2016 to 4 November 2016, the city of Kampala (Uganda) will recieve the members of the UbuntuNet Alliance for its annual conference, which will be hosted by the Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU). As in the previous conference, held in 2015 in Maputo (Mozambique), MAGIC will be part of the plenary sessions programme.
During November 4th, the MAGIC project will be part of the “Session 5: Enhancing Research and Collaboration through regional and global projects” of the UbuntuNet Connect Conference. Within this session, that will be chaired by Cathrin Stover -Chief Collaboration officer at GÉANT-, MAGIC will be represented by Tania Altamirano-Lopez (RedCLARA) who will explain everything about the Global Science Communities, and by Ognjen Prnjat (GRNet), who will give a presentation entitled “Sharing the global research services: MAGIC and VI-SEEM projects”. Altamirano and Prnjat will share that session with Bruce Becker who will give a presentation entitled “The Sci-GaIA Online Winter School - lessons and perspectives”.
