  • 10 months doing MAGIC

    MAGICUnder the title of Middleware for collaborative Applications and Global vIrtual Communities, the MAGIC project started its two year race in May 1st, 2015, and with the participation of 19 NRENs and RENs from all over the world, and the powerfull commitment of their representatives, translated into many hours of work, after 10 months the project results certainly demonstrate that the only way of growing together is by collaborating. 

     

  • Argentinean NREN believes in MAGIC

    InnovaRedInnovaRed, the NREN of Argentina, signed a Memorandum of Uderstanding (MoU) with MAGIC in order to collaborate in the promotion of user communities (in the project’s Work Package 5 - WP5) and in dissemination activities (WP6).

  • Call for Proposals until July 22, 2016: Connect, Contribute and Collaborate in a Series of Global eHealth Grand Rounds!

    eHealth Grand RoundsThe Global Science Communities team of the MAGIC project intends to host virtual "Grand Rounds" in the month of September 2016, and is therefore requesting persons/organisations from across the globe to indicate their interest in presenting. Teams are encouraged to collaborate.

  • Chile and Sri Lanka are now part of NRENum.net

    LEARN and REUNA, Sri Lanka and Chile are part of NRENum.netEnding 2015, in December 14, LEARN got its country code, and the same happened to REUNA in January 7 (2016), signing the integration of Sri Lanka and Chile, respectively, to NRENum.net.

  • December 7 and 8, 2015: MAGIC will be part of e-AGE 2015

    e-AGE 2015Under The High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, e-AGE (Integrating Arab e-infrastructure in a Global Environment), the annual international event organized by the Arab States Research and Education Network, ASREN, will be held in the city of Casablanca from December 7 to 8.

  • MAGIC @ UbuntuNet Connect

    In the 2015 version of the UbuntuNet Connect Conference, the MAGIC project had a great visibility by the participation of its members in the Africa Connect2 Visibility meeting, the Sci-GaIA Workshop on Open Science and, of course, at the Conference itself.

  • MAGIC had a great collaboration experience at TNC16

    MAGIC TNC2016 allBy means of the MAGIC + Sci-GaIA + TANDEM: Towards Sustainable e-Infrastructures session, held during the second day of TNC16, and of its presence at GÉANT’s booth, the MAGIC Project had a very important visibility in this relevant conference, the one that gathers all the Pan-European NRENs leaders and their worldwide peers with the research and also the industry communitties.

  • MAGIC had a great visibility at ICT2015

    Networking Session @ ICT2015From October 20 to 22nd, the MAGIC project took part in the INCO Village exhibition of ICT2015, organised by the European Commission, together with the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia.

     

  • MAGIC was part of e-AGE2015

    The MAGIC and TEIN*CC stand at e-AGE2015Held in December 7 and 8, 2015, in the Sheraton Casablanca Hotel (Morroco), and organized by ASREN (Arab States Research and Education Network), the e-AGE Conference (Integrating Arab e-infrastructure in a Global Environment) was an excellent scenario to understand the challenges that the Arab NRENs and researchers are facing in order to foster their regional development.

  • MAGIC will have a shared session @ TNC16

    TNC16 - Prague“MAGIC + Sci-GaIA + TANDEM: Towards Sustainable e-Infrastructures Around the World” is the name of the session that during june 14 will carried out the three complementary EC-funded projects during TNC16 Conference in Prague.

  • MAGIC will participate at UbuntuNet Connect

    kampalaUnder the title "Optimising the Impact of NRENs on Africa's Research", and from 30 October 2016 to 4 November 2016, the city of Kampala (Uganda) will recieve the members of the UbuntuNet Alliance for its annual conference, which will be hosted by the Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU). As in the previous conference, held in 2015 in Maputo (Mozambique), MAGIC will be part of the plenary sessions programme.

  • MAGIC, TANDEM and SciGaIA will share a stand and a network session in ICT2015

    ict2015 giiiscOrganized by the European Commission together with the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (Foundation for Science and Technology) ICT2015 will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) from October 20 to 22nd, and the three H2020 projects will join forces to demonstrate their collaborative power.

  • MAGIC’s WP4 makes available on-line: Open course on NRENum.net and DNS Configuration

    NRENum WP4 on-line trainingWithin the framework of the tasks developed by its Work Package 4 -which is in charge of the establishment for agreements for real time collaboration- the MAGIC Project has launch an on-line course on NRENum.net and DNS Configuration. With its contents fully developed both in English and Spanish, the course is opened to all those who are interested in NRENum, and mainly targeted to those NRENs that want to offer their member institutions the possibility of registering their equipments of videoconference and of voice over Ip in this global directory.

  • Mexican Federation, FENIX, is running and using the Magic WP3 services

  • November 19 and 20: MAGIC will participate in UbuntuNet Connect 2015

    UbuntuNet Connect 2015Along with a stand to disseminate the project’s information, MAGIC will give a presentation in the Conference led by UbuntuNet Alliance and will participate in the Sci-GaIA Workshop on Open Science. The project’s Work Package 5 (Global Science Communities) will have a meeting during November 17th.

  • October 15: NRENum.net welcomes CUDI, Mexico!

    Mexico - CUDI - NRENum.net“Thank you very much for Your cooperation and help and time!! Country code +52 is now officially delegated to CUDI, Mexico!”, said the email signed by Mészáros Mihály, from NIIFI (Hungary), member of the Work Package 4 of the MAGIC Project. A great email in fact, a great news: following Ecuador and El Salvador, Mexico is the third Latin American country that within MAGIC has got into NRENum.net.
