Ending 2015, in December 14, LEARN got its country code, and the same happened to REUNA in January 7 (2016), signing the integration of Sri Lanka and Chile, respectively, to NRENum.net.
MAGIC was part of e-AGE2015
Held in December 7 and 8, 2015, in the Sheraton Casablanca Hotel (Morroco), and organized by ASREN (Arab States Research and Education Network), the e-AGE Conference (Integrating Arab e-infrastructure in a Global Environment) was an excellent scenario to understand the challenges that the Arab NRENs and researchers are facing in order to foster their regional development.
MAGIC @ Cloudscape 2015, in Brazil
Last December 1st and 2nd, the MAGIC project took part in the Cloudscape Brazil 2015, event which was held at the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics (CBPF), Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro.
The Ethiopian NREN is now part of MAGIC
In November 18th, 2015, EtheRNET, the National Research and Education Network (NREN) of Ethiopia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MAGIC and through it became the newest member of the project.
NRENum.net welcomes RAU, from Uruguay
In November 27, 2015, the ENUM Service for Academia website - NRENum.net - received a new member: RAU, the Uruguayan National Research and Education Network, that received the following message by e-mail “Welcome RAU, Uruguay to NRENum.net! Thank you very much for your cooperation and help and time! Country code +598 is now officially delegated to RAU, Uruguay!”
